WELCOME TO CHILDREN'S SCIENCE WORLD OF COMPETITION
Every quarter, there would be competition in the form of quizzes and/or essay writing for children and youth between 7-12 grades. on various subjects in science and technology
As part of our maiden venture , we would like to start with an essay writing competition
for different age groups within GTA.
There will be prizes either in the form of gift certificates or cash awards for each of the categories specified below. The names of the winners will be posted on this page and the prizes would be given at a separate function to be announced at a later date.
THE TOPICS FOR THIS MONTH ARE :
Grades 11-12 : Sir Albert Einstein’s 'Theory of relativity' and its impact on the world of Science.
Grades 9-10: Invasion of internet and its impact on the society.
Grades 7, 8 : Write an essay on some of the greatest discoveries in science.
Rules and Regulations :
- All submissions should be original, legible and type written.
- Participants should fill out STS membership form and be residents of Ontario
- Entries should clearly specify the Name, Age, Grade, Name of the school
- All the valid entries will be fairly evaluated and judged by highly qualified professionals in science and technology fields.
- No two entries should be identical, else would be disqualified.
- Plagiarism is not acceptable and disqualify the submission
- Essay should not be more than 3 pages or 2000 words.
- Entries will not be accepted after the due date.
- Any two names of the referenced books or journals has to be provided along with the submission of the article.
There will be first and second position and complimentary prizes for participants
The amount for each cash prize would be announced at a later date depending on the funding available.
